Volunteers Needed! No gardening experience necessary!

Do you have a couple of hours to spare on a weekly or fortnightly basis? Do you like getting outside and gardening? Then volunteering with Green Health Thames Valley could be for you!

We are looking for volunteers to carry out routine gardening tasks at our small garden in Whitley, working alongside staff and Clients to help maintain the garden. No gardening experience needed as full training and support will be given to you. All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to give a few hours as a regular commitment.

We are open Tuesday and Thursday and can offer either a morning or afternoon volunteering session on each day.

We are COVID-19 secure and have procedures in place to make sure that everyone working can do so safely and comfortably. There will only ever be a maximum of 6 people on-site at a time.

If you are interested in coming to volunteer with us then please email us anytime at info@greenhealththamesvalley.org.uk. Alternatively telephone us on 07450 334091 (Tuesday or Thursday only)

STOP PRESS! June 2020

We are currently working on plans to REOPEN the Green Health Thames Valley garden in July!

There will be new procedures in place to ensure that we are meeting government guidelines and to make sure that everyone feels safe and comfortable when on-site.
More details as plans develop.

Reading Gardening for Health and Wellbeing Network Flyer Sept 2019

Reading Gardening for Health

In September 2019 Green Health Thames Valley was at the launch of:
The Reading Gardening for Health and Wellbeing Network, hosted by The Ridgeline Trust Therapeutic Gardens.

Reading Gardening for Health and Wellbeing Network is a collaboration of horticultural therapy and community gardening groups in the Greater Reading area. The network promotes the value of gardening for health and wellbeing for lots of different people. We share information, skills and experience to help each other and ultimately all the people who come to our gardens.

We are delighted to be part of this network of 10 community gardens and horticultural therapy organisations in the Greater Reading area.
